Questions???

MPRO Services Pty Ltd -  CALL: 0412 650 830

 1. Are you a Marriage Counsellor?

I am a qualified Relationship/Couples Therapist.  I work with Couples and Individuals to resolve and hopefully heal relationship issues.  I use 'Solution-Focused Brief Therapy' principles.  I will ask a Couple, or an Individual, to commit to a minimum of 4 sessions. This session work will be spread over a time period to suit their busy lifestyle.  A lot of Couple Counselling is conducted after hours to accomodate for working couples. Homework is issued in the form of Practical Assignments designed to improve communication and allow them to challenge their self-beliefs and assumptions of who they are and who they are yet to become.

2. What is Mentoring?

Mentoring is typically a longer term relationship covering a broader range of issues at any given time.  The Mentor will answer questions and provide guidance with wisdom. Mentoring of Students to help them stay focused on what is needed for assignments or just to keep them on-track during their studies is usally more time-based or project specific.

A good mentor-mentee relationship can help you grow in leaps and bounds. Your mentor can often provide constructive criticism regarding your behavior, leadership skills, focus, etc. Your mentor can help guide you through issues you may be facing that they have already navigated through.

Mentoring in the work-force varies from the Junior Assistant, through to the Managing Director/Owner.  A Person-Centred approach works better in Mentoring using the Steffi Graf Principles of developing your 'Strengths'.

3. What is the difference between Mentoring and Coaching?

Coaching and Mentoring are pretty similar, but the Coach will focus on specific tasks for the coachee to accomplish over a given and agreed timeframe.  A Coach will assist to identify barriers or challenges, then help turn these challenges into wins.

4. What is MPRO right brain focus?

Good question, I call it Right Brain Focus because the exercises target that side of the brain.  Can we really change the way we think?  Well yes, but not without 'Brain Practice'.  The practice of developing the Right-Side of your Brain to increase creativity, which improves the (Left-Side) Cognitive (or Thinking) abilities.  The gain is two-fold; Greater Clarity for Strategic Thinking at Work and a Renewed Outlook in your Personal Life/Relationships. Mpro RBF may be introduced during Corporate Coaching to impact on Team Contribution Work and 'New-Self' exercises.

5. What is an example of your work?

People I see are just trying to sort out their lives. From 18 year olds who are making hard decisions about their Preferred Future, 35 year olds worried about the impact of Parenting Decisions or 45 year olds Transitioning and looking into Identity Re-creation or Retirees adjusting to a New Life, I would like to think I have assisted them all.

Anger Management is a particular area of training I am qualified in, as is Trauma Counselling.

Relationship Coaching is a big part of my clientele as well as the Business Mentoring and Workplace Mediation.
